Effective date: September 8, 2025
SimpliTools (“SimpliTools,” “we,” “our,” “us”) provides a productivity web app and Android app (a lightweight container for the website). This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your choices.
Account data. Email address and password (passwords hashed with a modern one-way algorithm).
Content you add. Tasks, notes, calendar events, timers and related metadata you create in SimpliTools.
Technical & log data. Basic logs for security and reliability (e.g., IP address, user-agent, timestamps, error logs).
Cookies & local storage. We use first-party cookies/local storage for session management, CSRF protection, preferences (e.g., theme), and offline cache (service worker).
Push notifications (optional). If you enable push on a device, your browser creates a push subscription (endpoint + public key). We store that subscription so we can send you notifications; you can revoke it any time in Settings or your browser.
Payments (optional). If you purchase “Remove ads,” payments are processed by Stripe (and, on Android when available, Google Play Billing). We receive non-sensitive payment metadata (e.g., success/failure, product, timestamps) but never your full card or bank details.
On accounts that have not purchased “Remove ads” and are outside the initial grace period, we show ads from Google AdSense on our website.
How ads work. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure ads. Depending on your region and choices, ads may be personalized or non-personalized.
Your controls.
In the EEA/UK/Switzerland, we use a Google-certified Consent Management Platform (CMP) to collect your ad consent choices; you can revisit choices through the CMP at any time.
You can also manage Google ad personalization at adssettings.google.com and see partner choices at aboutads.info/choices (or device-level advertising settings on iOS/Android).
Remove ads purchase. When you buy “Remove ads,” we stop requesting ad inventory for your signed-in account on all devices. (You may still see house messages about your subscription status.)
We do not use the Android Advertising ID in our app; web ads are delivered in the browser context.
Provide and improve SimpliTools (auth, syncing, offline support, notifications).
Secure the service, prevent abuse, and diagnose issues.
Process purchases and maintain your “Remove ads” entitlement.
Show and measure ads on free accounts where applicable.
We don’t sell or rent your personal data. We share data only with service providers that help us run SimpliTools (e.g., hosting, email, push delivery, Stripe/Google Play for payments, Google for ads) under appropriate agreements.
Account/content data: kept while your account is active.
Logs: short retention for security and diagnostics.
Push subscriptions: deleted when you disable push or delete your account.
Payment records: kept as required for accounting and compliance.
We use industry-standard protections (encryption in transit, password hashing, least-privilege access). No system is 100% secure; we continually improve safeguards.
Access/Update/Delete. You can update your profile in Settings or request account deletion at support@simplitools.app.
Cookies/Ads. Manage consent via our CMP (EEA/UK/CH) and ad settings links above; block cookies in your browser if desired (some features may break).
Push. Turn off the push toggle in Settings or revoke notifications in your browser/site settings.
SimpliTools isn’t directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from them.
We may process data in the United States and other countries where our providers operate. We use appropriate safeguards when required.
If we make material changes, we’ll post the update at https://simplitools.app/privacy and update the “Effective date.”
If you choose to connect Google Calendar, SimpliTools will request permission to access your Google Calendar data. This is optional and not required to use the rest of the app.
With your consent, we access:
Your Google Calendar events (title, description, dates, times, reminders, and event metadata).
We do not access your Gmail, contacts, files, or any other Google services.
We use this data solely to:
Display your Google Calendar events inside SimpliTools
Create events on your Google Calendar when you add them in SimpliTools
Update or delete Google Calendar events when you edit or remove them in SimpliTools
Google Calendar data is not permanently stored on our servers.
Event data is fetched as needed and cached temporarily for performance.
No Google user data is used for advertising or marketing.
We do not sell, rent, or share your Google Calendar data with any third parties.
Data is transmitted only to Google’s APIs for synchronization.
You can revoke SimpliTools’ access to your Google data at any time by:
Visiting your Google Account permissions page:
https://myaccount.google.com/permissions
Disconnecting SimpliTools from the “Third-party apps with account access” section.
You can also delete your SimpliTools account at any time, which removes all app-related data we store.
SimpliTools complies with Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
